Hey! Do you celebrate anything around the winter solstice?
No matter where you find yourself on these shortest days of the year—or longest if you’re in the Southern Hemisphere—there is probably a festival waiting to be celebrated with friends and family and anyone close by.
Rather than write a long letter going into the details of my writing, I simply want to offer a heartfelt thank you for reading my work.
Nightly Noise
In that lighter spirit, I thought it would be good to mention the recent changes I made to the newsletter. Things probably look a little different and that all starts with the name, I changed it from Maneus to Nightly Noise.
It seemed like an appropriate name for something I shove into inboxes week after week. Something catchy that captures both my strangeness and my love for the rhythm of words in motion.
I’ve also given the “cover” of the newsletter a much needed overhaul. Give it a quick look, I added a little color and made it much easier to find relevant information about me and my books!
Books by John M Bauer
I’ve also created a section on the front page for all my books, a rather important addition that is probably long overdue. I truly am much more an author than a marketer, more often for worse rather than for better.
And to not-so-subtly remind everyone—or maybe present a few ideas for another gift—here are all the books I published last year:

Hopes and Dreams
With the magic of the holidays in the air, it’s a good time to let wishes run wild. When the silly thoughts can be entertained and we finally allow ourselves to imagine a slightly better world.
Whether it’s a possessed Kabosha past the walls of a wormhole, Maneus and his family overcoming a curse, or Saint Vinson Herself guiding our souls by Her flame, my stories are already a dream come true thanks to all of you.
