Hey! Reading anything good?
I’ve never been one to join or run book clubs, but I do enjoy the idea of discussing a story.
With a broader definition, I suppose it would be more like a class or a lesson than an extroverted gathering for afternoon coffee or tea.
Hearthside Hangouts
One of the better parts of participating in Buildspace is gaining insights on how people around the world are working to realize their dreams.
Many took on problems with solutions I didn’t even know were possible or that I would have never considered.
Of the countless projects that ended up catching my eye, one in particular seemed to be unequivocally useful for someone like me: Hearthside Hangouts.
Naomi and her team spent 6 weeks building an app to help people connect with each other in order to discuss what they’re reading.
I of course immediately made a page: Book club for Maneus.
Join it if you would like to discuss my book as you read through the winding tale! I want us to at least get through the first bit of the book by the end of this week.
As a disclaimer, Hearthside Hangouts is very new and very experimental. Don’t be surprised if things break or are otherwise unintuitive.
I think the core functionality should work well enough for my purposes though. A nice space to talk about Maneus.
Almost There?
I still haven’t reached my goal of 100 copies sold, but I have continued to see people buy my book.
With the number slowly rising, it’s becoming believably probable that I’ll at least get to a good fraction of that optimistic estimate.
If you would like to help me out, please share Maneus with more people!
Maybe Tomorrow
Time may never be on my side, but the only way to win the bet and show my hand is to make it to the next round.
Who knows where luck will take my cards.
Until next time.
Cheers,
John
