Finding my footing before demo day
Hey! How was your week?
Mine was busier than busy and fuller than full. By far the biggest piece of news is that Besnowed is now available on Amazon!
It may take a few days for everything to be fully functional, but the links are there and orders are already pending.
I have to thank my dad for proofreading and my sister Molly for the captivating cover. Without their help, the book would be less than half as appealing!
Demo Day May 20th
I’ll have a chance to pitch Besnowed to a live audience this Saturday and you are all invited to join!
If I make it into the 32 finalists, I’ll be invited back on Sunday for a tournament style event and a chance to win $100,000!
I’m most excited about sharing my story with others, but the prize winnings do sweeten my dreams.
Two Interviews
My interviews with Kevvrites and Comatose were published last week! I had a lot of fun speaking with Kevin about writing, gaming, and where we both find inspiration.
It was also somewhat surreal reviving Comatose and cutting together a new episode. Once Nizar’s voice was in place and the music set up, it felt like we picked up right where we left off.
Audio Chapters
I received a lot of thankful messages for the inclusion of audio. Even in my grumbling, mumbling voice, the added accessibility helped people get on the train to my little snowy village.
I would like to continue these for every chapter, but they take a long time to record and edit. I will likely need to make it a subscription incentive so I can justify the use of my time.

Words A La Carte
In my continued interest to evolve my ramblings and writings into an actual source of income, I’ve opened up commissions. There’s only three right now and I’m not sure how attractive they are as incentives, but I thought it would be good to add some offers.
Poetry in Seconds
Between my short clips of Besnowed, I’ve also uploaded videos of prose and poetry on TikTok. My understanding of the platform is probably a little off, but it fits my style and they have been fun to make.
One Week Left
With a little luck, I’ll finally be able to sleep peacefully once demo day is over and everything is working on Amazon. It’s been a wild ride, but I’ve truly enjoyed taking Besnowed from a sloppy idea to a book people can actually buy.
I’ll have an update later this week with details on how to attend the event and I really am looking forward to seeing you there. I’m new to all of this and quite frankly feel incredibly humbled every time I see support.
Whether it’s reading this newsletter, a silent smile behind the screen, or sending me a cup of coffee, I wouldn’t be able to find the energy to keep going without you all.
